Tomato Trial - 2007
Sungold x2 (Thompson & Morgan) - Cropping very well, first to ripen. Outside ones started to ripen.
Tigerella x1 (Carters Seed) - Lots of fruit and the outside tomatoes have started to ripen.
Alicante x3 (Carters Seeds) - Lots of fruit, good medium size, not ripe yet.
Black Cherry x2 (Thompson & Morgan) - Good size cherry tomatoes, only just beginning to ripen on the first truss.
Gardeners Delight x3 (Various) - Lots of small fruit, but a few larger ones. The possibility of ripening soon.
Ferline x1 (Thompson & Morgan) - Not a lot of fruit and still quite small.
Garden Pearl (Alan Roman) - Many cherry size fruits, cropping well.
Marmande (Carters Seeds) - Lots of very large fruit and could be ripening soon.

3rd July 2007 - 12 plants in the greenhouse
Sungold x2 (Thompson & Morgan) - Large, tall plants, fast growth and early truss set (early June). Early July three trusses set. Wide growth.
Tigerella x1 (Carters Seed) - Loads of flowers, good growth inside and outside, first fruit swelling early July.
Alicante x3 (Carters Seeds) - Good growth, quite a lot of flowers. One good growing fruit and a few trusses set.
Black Cherry x2 (Thompson & Morgan) - Fast growth, more compact than the Sungold. Lots of flowers and a few fruit swelling.
Gardeners Delight x3 (Various) - Erratic growth on all three plants. Few lower trusses, but more flowers nearer the top.
Ferline x1 (Thompson & Morgan) - Growing quite well, but better outside. A few fruit showing on outside plants.
Garden Pearl (Alan Roman) - Started in January and the outside plant is doing really well. Could have done with longer in the greenhouse. Loads of fruit but many flowers didn't pollinate.
Marmande (Carters Seeds) - Bush type growth, no fruit yet but many flowers. All outside.
