Still showing a reading of 1009 so I decided to bottle the brew.

Made some labels for the brown glass bottles. Need to wait 3 weeks till I can try one though.

09.03.08

After 5 days in the warmth I moved the bottles out to the garage.

I thought I would try some of the smallest bottles (500ml) just to see what it tasted like.

Opening the bottle gave a nice fizzing sound, which I was hoping would happen as the bottle did seem quite solid.

Poring the brew into a glass it was evident that the liquid was still a bit cloudy. Not too cloudy though.

It smelt good and now on to the tasting.....WOW!

This has worked out really well. Even after such a short time the classic taste of Scottish Heavy was there. Maybe just a little sweet but easily drinkable.

It was not too fizzy and probably could do with being a bit more lively.

I'm really happy with my first batch.

I'll leave these two bottles for when baby is born.

20.03.08

I should have filled the bottles fuller, but tonight I tried the one bottle that was only half full.

There is a bit of fizz to it but not much.
